    Well, now you’ve done it…

  • See what happens when you close your scopes on all your workspaces. At the very least have a panel other than scopes open on the workspace you’re switching to.

Outside of the timeline exchange idea, there’s been real progress between say Office files/elements and the Adobe products most of use. To be able to copy and paste (or in some cases just drag) an icon or text block from a Powerpoint deck right into Photoshop or Illustrator is pretty handy. Not that long ago you’d be rendering out slides and cutting them up.

I only saw this on Mac. None of the PCs showed this problem. My way around it was just to bring the graphics in as a layered .psd.

That being said, I haven’t seen this problem in a while. Somewhere along the way it just started working like it’s supposed to.

You’ve probably got a 4k title on a HD timeline. I bet if you check the scale on the title it will be 50%.

Right click on the title and set to frame size.

  • Yeah, so once you add an extra point you can delete it by placing your cursor over the point while holding down the command/control key. The cursor changes to the pen icon with a minus (-) and you just click on the vertex and it will be deleted. Can’t say why the mask doesn’t revert to its original shape, but it just doesn’t. Holding down shift while dragging on one of the interior handles on the nearby vertexes will pull the mask back into pretty good shape.

Taught assistant editors to do this same thing at an NBC O&O in 2015. They had “Trending Now” (Twitter and other Social) graphics they’d run several times a day with ID’s. They were scared to death of AE, but would crank these things out all day from PPro.

So, here’s how I do it. Let’s say I grab a set of super sexy fur themed lower thirds from Motion Array. I unzip the download and rename the actual folder where the .mogrts live as “Furry 3rds”. I do this because this is the name they’ll show up as in the Essential Graphics panel.

Then I move them to a folder in my Creative Cloud storage called simply MOGRTS. (This is just so I can have them everywhere and always…put them wherever you want.)

Now in PPro, I hit the hamburger flyout menu of the Essential Graphics panel and choose the last option “Manage Additional Folders”, select “Add”, navigate to the MOGRTS folder on my CC storage and select the folder “Furry 3rds.”

Back in the Essential Graphics panel I’m gonna make sure the box next to “Local” is checked and there in the dropdown I can choose “Furry 3rds” and that’s all that will show up in the window. I can select multiple folders to see in the window or uncheck the box to show them all.

Worth mentioning that it’s the content of the selected folder(s) that is displayed in the window and not another level of Folders to choose from. I was expecting to see that, but that’s not how it works.

[Mark Suszko] “Some of those might be foods or Harry Potter characters, who can tell the difference.”

    Spit take.
