AVID Media composer and Premiere run great on your OSX systems. Use that!

All you need is Midi control and input like in any audio/music production software.
This way you can use any midi device to control parameters. Pedal, midi controllers, midi keyboard etc.
Now you would need a midi to keycommand software between the pedal and resolve. -
