Thanks for the reply but I have just fixed the problem. What I did was copy everything & then pasted it into another instance of Vegas. It’s working now but I have no idea as to what the original problem was.

Thanks for that reminder. It works well. The only downside that I can see is if you wanted to record a long clip as that its done in real time.

That’s a pity because I went on a trip recently that involved time zone changes. I set all of the acme to same correct time. The Sony camcorder shot HD video & 12 MP stills. We has 2 phones which more or less did the same as well as an ipad mini & another digital camera. I download them all into the same folder with the thought that the times could all be displayed & sorted so that anything shot on another camera could be found next to one another.

I was able to sort all of the stills in correct sequence but not the videos.

The shortcut key make an easy change & I added the volume envelope. Unfortunately I then right clicked on the track & told it to combine the tracks. It said that this worked but all places where I had set sound to zero the sound could still me heard. I suppose it might have been different if I had combined the tracks first. The current audio track is labeled as Microsoft Sound mapper.

I can’t see how I can possibly have a virus. The first thing that happens every morning before anything else is an update of both my anti-virus & malware programs & then a scan by both programs. The most that I have ever seen is some PIP files (potentially unwanted programs) & these are always deleted.

I thought that the encoding may have picked up some incorrect details when it used some previously rendered out files. So I asked for it to re render to Blu-ray from scratch.

Ass I got is this error message.

‘File name: 00005.m2ts
Status: Vegmuxtw.dll::CTSWrapper::ProcThreadMain::This program has a bug. – m_ptsOfNextGOP is empty.’

I have no idea as to what that means. Does anyone know?

Incidentally I’m curious as to what you might be able to see from the DAR file? I have never had an attachment in this forum. How is that done?

There is almost always another approach to achieve what you want with Vegas & DVDA. Rather than waste everyone’s time I am going to try the following which should achieve what I was after.

For the buttons that are unwanted I just chance them to text only with smallest fort & then change the text color to that of the background & they should no longer be seen on the scene selection menu yet still be there when you preview or remote control.

I create markers in Vegas & get them saved with render. When file opened in DVDA all markets appear on timeline. I ask for a scene selection menu. A button & text button is created for each marker. I do a preview & confirm that thar markers are working correctly.

Back in scene selection menu I delete a few buttons & do another preview. This time playback only jumps to next button icon location thus skiping where intermediate marker was located.

It’s recording quite well. I do notice that one channel is consistently louder than the other. I have been using the audio pan on the track before rendering file. I noticed that the audio pan doesn’t appear to work as you record. Is this normal?
