Hi,
No…I can’t install 4.1 since it needs ‘classic’ and I am on 10.4.11.

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for your response.
I have BOTH the 6.5 AND previous serial numbers (version 4.1).
I also called Adobe and they gave me 6 other serial numbers to try and I am STILL stuck when I try to enter a PREVIOUS VERSION serial number.
I remember having a purple dongle which I misplaced and has yet to be found. Can this be the culprit?
I don’t know.
Thanks again,
Paul

Well I am impressed with you Dave on how you respond to customers and how the company is updating the software and fixing bugs.
Reminds me of the ‘Marianna Morley’ days.
Keep up the good work.

Bummer…
What is the link and prices for upgrade choices?
Thanks

I am still surprised you guys are getting more acceptable results with Compressor.
Am I reading these posts correctly or is my medication kicking in??

I wish I could see some of this footage.
Like I always say, do a little 1 minute test with the setting I recommended.
See what it looks like.
I never use the ‘interlace’ or ‘gamma’ settings or any other settings except STUDIO RGB. Never had problems except when I needed a higher average Bitrate.

Hi Chris,
Do not check anything in BitVice except Studio RGB. That is the ONLY thing you should use. DVNC can be used, but don’t use anything above 2 or 3. This can start having a negative effect on your footage. Since you are on a slower machine, I recommend NOT using this at all. Try posting a piece of footage or emailing it to someone to check.

Hi Chris,
Wow…2 hours per minute? My gosh you are a patient man!
Unfortunately this is where my knowledge becomes guessing….and I don’t want to give you the wrong information.
I am not yet working with the new Media100 HD system.
Floh…..can you hear this?
If I think of anything, I’ll be sure to post it.

Hi,
QUITE a bit softer? Hmmm…how strange. Do you have time to re-render with a ‘sharpen’ filter in AE? I am surprised that Compressor handles ANYTHING better then BitVice. Are you using STUDIO RGB in Bitvice? You definitely SHOULD (sorry I forgot to mention this earlier). NOT using this will give you a somewhat ‘washed-out’ look in your footage. If you have time left, try to re-render using the sharpness filter in AE…..try a test of a minute of footage. Adjust your colors (sometimes I like to enhance SATURATION or add CONTRAST) or whatever you are trying to achieve.
Curious…how long did your machine take to render all 90 minutes?
Let the re-rendering begin!!
