Media 100 & Leopard
Posted by Andy Stinton on October 17, 2007 at 12:05 pmFrom what I understand Media 100 is not Leopard friendly. Is there an expected date for the leopard version?

First, Leopard is still not shipping. While I can imagine that early tests were done with the Developer preview versions, I would guess that the Engineers are waiting for getting a Final version before really starting to optimize and test against Leopard. And for a production system, I think we should wait for a 10.5.1 release anyway before assuming that the OS is stable/bug-free enough to be used reliably. So we probably need to wait a few weeks before being able to upgrade to 10.5 with Media 100 (or with many other software packages).

October 17, 2007 at 12:33 pmThanks Floh. Leopard is on our radar. We have been working with Developer version, but it needs to be qualified. There are a few minor issues that will need to be addressed. We’ll support it as soon as possible. Couple of things… Media 100i will never support Leopard. If you are using Media 100i it’s simply time to move to a new version there has never been a better time to upgrade. Right now, we do not have plans to qualify anything but Version 12.x. on PPC and Intel.
