Hi Roland,
Not quite sure what you mean – I’m using wave warp rather than wave world.
Do you mean the pinning option has never worked?

September 13, 2010 at 7:02 am in reply to: CS5 doesn’t import native Sony PMW-350 XDCAM files properlyThe issues I was having are fixed now and XDCAM ,MP4 and .MXF work really well on the timeline, so for me, there’s no need for 3rd party plugins like that (unless it was to offer additional features I found valuable). Does it offer anything else apart from en/decode of XDCAM CODEC’s?

August 12, 2010 at 1:12 pm in reply to: CS5 doesn’t import native Sony PMW-350 XDCAM files properlyChris – It is fixed as I have the new importer file that Wil from Adobe sent me when we were exploring the problem. He asked me not to make it available though for obvious reasons.
So – it is there, unless they are making additional changes with any other XDCAM issues they’ve found.
Some more info on the problem on the adobe forum here:

I’m eagerly awaiting the next update and hoping the application window switching performance issue is improved as this is the biggest problem now for me.

You can output an MXF file from clipbrowser without having to buy the MC plugin. MXF for Edit IIRC.

June 16, 2010 at 10:08 am in reply to: Color picker in “Solid Settings” After Effects CS5 broken?I have the same problems in CS5 PC version – using the colour picker when creating a new solid and moving over any comp or layer window just shows a grey colour and doesn’t change. Moving over any of the UI does work though.
So as it happens on both Mac and PC, there’s something fundamental going on here.
Paul.

May 16, 2010 at 12:26 pm in reply to: CS5 doesn’t import native Sony PMW-350 XDCAM files properlyIt’s now been fixed for the CS5 point release – could be up to a month or two before that arrives though.

I never got it fixed.
I’ve got CS5 now – so will be interesting to see if this solves anything – maybe the 64bit code will help a lot?
I don’t do very many DVD’s, so not sure when I’ll get a chance to test again over a sustained period of time.
Cheers,
Paul.

One additional big advantage – Try the new ultrakeyer for chromakey footage – it’s fabulous!

Anyone got a solution to this yet?
I’m seeing exactly the same problem – working in 32bit at the moment to work around it.
