Can I add the original audio to a clip in the timeline that doesn’t have audio?
My second sequence/timeline is my blooper reel and I was adding funny clips to it during the editing process. However, I noticed it was not adding the audio when inserting into the timeline only the video.
I found and fixed the problem with the insertion, but is there any way/shortcut/linking method to add the audio to the video clips without having to go back to the original clips and re-insert them to the timeline?

I’m not familiar with any shortcut for this. Since it’s a fairly common activity, perhaps you should suggest one. However, since I do it often, I’ve narrowed it down to a few simple steps, which you may have already discovered.
1 – Make sure the pertinent video track is selected.
2 – Move to the head of the clip, Press ‘F’ to load that clip into the Source Monitor at that point.
3 – Press ‘I’ to set an in point on the source clip
4 – Back in the timeline, jump to the tail of the clip.
5 – Again, press ‘F’ to jump to that frame in the clip in the Source Monitor.
6 – Set an out point on the source clip.
7 – Drag this audio selection to it’s spot in the timeline.Once you get comfortable with it, you can get this entire process down to about 10 seconds.

I’m sorry this response is so late and thank you for your feedback. When I hit F nothing is loading in the source monitor. 🙁

It’s the ‘Match Frame’ command, also found in the menu. If you’re using CS6, it’s the ‘F’ key by default, making sure that the pertinent video track is selected. If you’re using a version below CS6, it was the ‘M’ key.

Wouldn’t it be great to have a command “relink original audio” – would save be a load of time 🙂

Probably as much time as the ability to save Cross Dissolve presets would save.
But I digress…
