Interesting, never really had such problems with speed ramps that you describe despite having used speed ramps on several hundred projects on Avid, FCP, Media100 and previous versions of Premiere for the past 20 years.
I’m thinking the likely answer is that they botched the math on the 2018 v12 upgrade.

btw. Shane, do you recommend Cinema Tools for going from Prores 29.97 to Prores 23.98?

Is there also a tutorial for that?

yep. One of the first things I tried was linking to reel & timecode. no dice, wouldn’t link it even though the file was clearly there and the reel & timecode matched up.

no worrys, I got em all linked manually and am cutting now.

I’d break it up into multiple exports and maybe stitch it all together again in Quicktime.

Does it really need to be 1 big file?

I just got the exact same Raid!!!

I also put my trust in Larrys article and got the 12TB.

Was wondering exactly how you striped your drives and also why you are opting for Raid 5 as opposed to Raid 0.
