    I’m thinking of installing it in my MBP via Data Doubler.

    MBP 8,1 -13 inch late 2011
    2.4ghz i5
    16gb 1333MHz DDR3
    Intel HD Graphics 3000 – 512mb

    My media is ProRes422 1080p 24fps.

    I just need it too be good enough to perform on location cutting for EPKs, Webdocs etc….

    Would love to have this much capacity but the I’m concerned about possible speed issues.

    They don’t call it a media doubler for good reason. You should never ever consider a 5400 rpm hard drive for video storage and playback, unless that is you want to buy twice… Once as a mistake, 2nd to rectify that mistake.
