all right, got it now. this number mislead me. so you don’t have 1 image sequence, you simply have AN image sequence in each of a 1000+ folder. i assume you plan to use those sequences pretty often. if only occasionally – you should be aware it is a waste of time, it is better to leave it as it is and import it ‘normally’, any time you need to…

i’ve been scratching my head for awhile and sorry i can’t do it the way you want it. BUT i want to propose a kind of workaround, maybe even more useful-depends on how you want to use it. the condition is that all sequences have exactly the same length and you say they do.
so… if i had a problem like yours and i couldn’t figure it out in a better way i would…

make a new folder
.
copy all your graphic files that make your sequences into the new folder. of course don’t go 1000+ times to each folder to copy files. you can do it with few clicks by going to the parent folder and search for an extension (so you will have to do it more than once if you have graphics with different extensions – i assume you are not) and just drag the result of the search to the new folder created in step one.

make sure your files are in ascending order.
.
select all and rename all files, windows explorer ‘rename’ command will do just fine.

now you truly have 1 image sequence. it probably is gigantic…
.
equip you vegas in ultimates pro. demo will do but i advise to buy it for future use – wonderful script machines. excalibur could probably do the job too.

import your gigantic sequence into vegas, drop it on the timeline.
.
use ultimates to create regions of a length of ###frames. as you say all sequences are of the same length so you can go automate for this.

save your veg project.

that is it, that is all… but not all… now you can chop at regions to have your sequences separate on the timeline, you can create markers to organize them, you can group your sequences by grouping tracks or by saving types of sequences in separate veg projects (flowers, cars, horses, sky etc.), you probably can create subclips from those groups, you can embed markers in it to organize even better – the sky is the limit. any time you want to add your sequence to another project, you just open the veg project, find the sequence (you would have to do it anyway) and you just copy between projects as all your sequences are events.

as i said it is not exactly what you’ve asked for. i hope it is sth better. or i hope it is a kind of a brainstorm leading you to your optimal solution.

first of all match them before you shoot. if you need any adjustments later… hm… don’t know any tutorial but it is really simple. pick a color you want to change. set the mask on, adjust limitation to separate area to be changed, set the mask off and adjust the area as desired. use snapshot/clipboard view mode to have the most accurate comparison. that is all…

what kind of color matching you have on your mind?
i tried fbmn color match plugin – gives good results but finally i find built in secondary color corrector better. you can drop even few instances of it on an event, it really gives you a lot of freedom with separate limitting luma, hue and sat, i don’t feel there is anything better then built in solution as about matching/changing separate colors in a video… but of course people here may be better experienced in that area… let’s see if anybody…

just wanna share why i love vegas so much. every day i learn sth new. tiny little things that make my editing easier. i ve been using svp since version 7, been couple of years and i still don’t know all its possibilities… great stuff…
