Long time FCP (since v1.25) and FCPX user here.

Last year I did a project in DaVinci Resolve – a music performance, and the

client requested a separate clip for each song. It was VERY easy to output all those clips

using Resolve. And yes, it did take a long time to find the beginning and ending of each clip.

I thought that in those days Apple informed all registered developers ahead of updates.

I remember many times seeing beta versions of the next update being available for a few months so all the developers could check there code.

All the plug in makers have had a chance for a few years now to update to the M1 architecture.

render your timeline out in the full codec of that timeline.

Send him that file with some of the other footage you want to give to the new editor.

Did you copy the Library first or is it a 100 TB video library .. so not practical to duplicate aka backup you Library?

Are there some small Libraries you can attempt first?

And maybe you need to use Proxy files.

A quick google should tell you if Soundtrack Pro 3.0 reads MIDI files.

And I am sure that GarageBand reads MIDI files.

If you bought FCPX for your iMac, you still own it to use on Mac mini.

I have read that the plasma leaks out after a certain amount of time.

So I picked the “Text+” effect for a title.

And found out that I need to “Shading” and select Element 3.

It adds a drop shadow when the Title box is unrendered.

And then when it renders the Title box … the drop shadow disappears!

I have not seen if it fixes it in the output file yet.
