🙂 I second all Rafael requests but I’d add another couple
i) NTFS file system support (or other Windows friendly one)
j) MXF file format support (compressed and uncompressed)Greetings,

October 10, 2011 at 6:31 pm in reply to: Ultrastudio 3D and canon xf105 HDMI input issues…Hello Philip,
the XF105 features HD-SDI output with embedded audio, have you tried to use it instead of HDMI?

Hello Mike,
I’m using the Intensity Pro with Asus X58 Sabertooth (still on the market), P6TD Deluxe X58 (not anymore available here)and P8H67-V (CPU Ci7-2600K). All systems work without problems.
Hope it helps,Paolo

You’re right, Composite bandwidth is very limited (it is very difficult if not impossible to separate Luma and Chroma without loosing a lot of quality), S-Video is better, but not better than Firewire.

Hello Joey,
be careful with hardware compatibility. Driver 3.5 is out of date (replaced by desktop video 8.x, with 8.5 as the last available build), but I had no problems in the past with v.3.XBest Regards,
Paolo

Hello Dan,
assuming that you are capturing from Firewire into DV format, using an Intensity Pro you could improve quality capturing from HDMI or YUV (no composite or Y/C) using a better codec (4:2:2 color sampling and higher data rate).

July 19, 2011 at 1:30 pm in reply to: Intensity software packages and capture modesHello Judd,
I think that your problem is that you want to use in your workflow solutions of competitors (Grass Valley would love you to buy their hardware):-)
Edius supports a lof of codecs, so choose one (Uncompressed or Compressed? Long or Short GOP? etc.) and then you will able to choose the right software to capture, among other NLEs or software dedicated to capture, that usually have additional features.Best Regards,
Paolo
