    THanks Baz,

Decklink certainly looks the way to go.

    Cheers

YEah $4k for an 8bit board is definately a deal breaker. At the end of the day the client wont care how ‘real time’ your sytem is, they only care about the quality of the final product. Thus the 10bit Decklink cards simply cant be beat and costs a fraction of the price of the Axio.

Thanks Ben – clearly you cant test on all system I was just wanting to make sure their were no ‘gotchas’ with nucleo and the X2 chips/chipset.

just a stab in the dark but sounds like a hardware issue to me. Possibly even a power supply issue as given the system you are running, a 480 watt psu seems very borderline. What make of psu is it? Even if it should be enough some

Hmmm…a possible November release then…funny as I heard (even though I was wrong before) that November is the next likely release date for Adobe and AE7. SO perhapse I am still right about your product being tied in with this new version?

    Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Yup I have waited long enough to move our company into the HD era and I was really hoping Adobe would come to the party with Ppro2. Sure 1.5 is capable but its sluggish and buggy and soooo not a pro solution (unless you have a spare $30k for Axio).

Adobe you have lost my business as we will now be going either FCP or Avid (possably even Canopus as those NX systems are amazing).

I think Adobe is getting way too cocky and big for its boots. To busy gobbling up other companies than concentrating on what matters most.

  • well Im gutted – I had heard a rumour but I guess its not to be. I hope Adobe announces Ppro 2 and Ae 7 or I dont know what Ill do.

September 1, 2005 at 10:54 pm in reply to: PI plugin for After Effects

AS Ive said before, what Alan is forbidden to say due to NDA’s, is that it will be ready and waiting come IBC – exactly the same time as Adobe releases After Effects 7 (Ppro 2 etc). In reality Adobe should have released a lot sooner than they have (to busy gobling up other companies) so my theory is that the PI delay is in fact due to Adobe, not wondertouch. Cant release a plug in for an ap that doesnt exist right…?
