Hi all, just looking into a new system based on an AMD x2 4800. Im a heavy AE user so nucleo is looking very sweet however, on every test they have run ( https://www.gridironxfactor.com/products/nucleo_benchmarks.asp ), the only system they DIDNT test on was an AMD X2. This seems like a huge oversight to me and I cant understand why. Is their a reason that I dont know about? Is it not stable or does it fail to use Nucleo to its full advantage?

Given the X2’s whip Intel dual core but in almost every benchmark I cant imaging thats the case but I would luv to hear from any users with an X2 4800 set up who use nucleo. The great thing about the benchmark pages is that they have included all project files for download so its actually a very handy site. Also it just goes to show what a complete waste of money an Opteron quad workstation would be if you did not have nucleo running to get the most out of your investment.

Pablo, you can always post your question in the GridIron forum as well. They’re very good at responding to posts.

We tried to get benchmark data from a broad range of available technology. Unfortunately, we simply didn’t have that particular chip in house when we ran the benchmarks. We plan to extend the benchmark set in the near future to include more hardware and more plugins. We’ll be sure to try out the X2 and post the results.

Thanks Ben – clearly you cant test on all system I was just wanting to make sure their were no ‘gotchas’ with nucleo and the X2 chips/chipset.
