    Wow of a commertial!

    I liked your Doritos movie…

I´m commenting a long time after the date of this post but boy, me salvaste la vida con esta solución…

Right now I´m facing exactly the same problem: time consuming several splits VS deadline. Will check the DH-Box.

    Gracias

    Thanks a lot guys…

    Yes, the advice sounds wise.

I color corrected using a calibrated monitor and a calibrated external TV, but there are probably tons of things I´m missing.

I am a visual artist by profession, so I´m not that a newby in all the different fields, but still this in my first professional attempt in full editing.

    Will follow the advice.

    Thanks again.

    Well guys!

Once I was able to process all the information I found about how to improve graphics in our FCP projects, I solved the problem.

    Thanks a lot

    Thanks Alex!

I´m following the advices to test the quality after exporting… I´ve been trying weird walkarounds as I love the “alternative logic” of the great editors out there, like trying vector objects and stuff, but I still don´t get a significant improvement.

So, that´s maybe the quality that it is.

    Thanks again, everybody!

    Thanks guys for the help.

I think that there were probably problems with my system since after troubleshooting my FCP texts look ok.

Related to my PS text, I´m still reading…

If I get to fix it, I will post the solution here.

    Sorry Alex,

“changing your compressor from HDV to ProRes”

… means, rendering/exporting from my HDV 720p, 23,98 sequence using ProRes HQ? taking everything to a ProRes HQ sequence and render/export from there? or setting something in Compressor?

    Thanks again, guys!

    Hi again!

    Alex,

I used Boris generator for the text in FCP.

Now I´m erasing all the renders and will re render everything in ProRes to see what happen.

However I noticed that the FCP text looks better after I trashed preferences and Troubleshooted the system… I really don´t know anymore.

The Photoshop texts look the same (the squary look I mentioned before) after changing/testing the pixel aspect. So, I´m kind of lost here and the worst, I did all the subtetling to Spanish in PS, my God!

I had read before that it gave better quality to process text in PS than in FCP and never went back to this topic till now… I hope I won´t have to re subtttle everything 🙁

As Jaab suggests, it doesn´t make sense, because I have the same preferences and also the same playback in the TL (High).
