    Hi Everybody!

Sorry if I´m in the wrong forum.

I am a visual artists and an editor and I´ve been trying to create some live interaction with my video installations.

I´ve checked some open source software like “Animata” (https://animata.kibu.hu/index.html) and “eMotion” but lately I´ve found the site kickasskungfu.net where I can see some of the effects I would like to achieve, although with other interests (not a video game, but a video installation).

What I´m looking for is a tutorial or any other information in a software that allows me to track human movement live and to embed it into a virtual realm, to create an interactive narrative.

Imagine a segment of a movie where you can temporarely impersonate a character and then get out and the movie keeps going.

I´ve also seen lately a lot of experiments with the Wiimote and I wonder if it could have any use in “real live animation”.

Please, if someone has any advice about it I would appretiate it.

    Thanks a lot

Sounds like your looking more for motion Capture than tracking.
If you were to animate over some one I would just put the video in the background and trace the animation. But thats not something you can do in real time by any means.
Also if you are doing this in real time You should look onto Dataton Watch Out its great for incorporating live stuff into a pre-made sequence.
