what brand is your fibre channel, if it’s a Pci_X
card you should have it in the slot 4 which is
the PCI-x one the put the decklink card in the slot 3.Have you any other cards in the G5 which model is it??
Like Luke said if you have anti virus get rid of it.
can you try to capture at low res to your internal hd and tell us what
happens??Regards

check if you have 8 ram slots, or
open the G5’s door, at the base of the G5
you should see the specs of the G5… in the end if should
say pci-x.Regards

Hi Don,
this should work, make sure that you have selected the BM hdv Easy setup.
make sure you have all frames selected as well for your brodcast preview.Regards

This is common practice with any HD cards, and yes you’ll have to ” reconform when you want to edit to tape “.
Straight playing from timelime should be in realtime ( depending if you have a large number of effects or not ).Regards
