Have done all of the above but no joy. The cards seems to do something when avid is launched, as the monitor wakes up, but as soon as the sequence opens the monitor turns off. Is there an area in Avid where you can see all the video out options, like with FCP?

Have you tried putting In and Out points across the rage you want altered, selecting the track you want to adjust and all keyframes should move at the same time.

I’ve been having the same problem with monitoring audio via my decklink studio and came across your post. However the link to your photo doesn’t seem to be working. Is there any where else you could point me towards that that could help.

I don’t seem to be able to change the disk names. The ‘source’ section of the information tab is read only and the logging info doesn’t change the info coming in to fcp. I’m changing the transfer folders in the finder manually after transfer and then changing the reel name in fcp. Seems to work.

Unfortunately not with these disks. I used to be able to take off the record safe tab on the disk, rename in the finder then when its added to xdcam transfer it shows up with a new reel name. Now the disk that shows up in the finder Just shows XDCAM and is locked. The camera hasn’t seemed to assign a reel name either.

managed to sort the problem out if anyone else has a similar problem…went back to the original project and sequence that the fine cut was done on instead of using the exported quicktime. I used the print to video and endured the 6 hour wait for the ‘conform HDV’. transfered perfectly!

Thanks. The tapes are the large format tapes that only fit in the deck. They take 124mins of HDV footage and 60mins Of DVCAM.

I was wondering if the reason for breaks in time code and skipping of A/V has to do with the speed of the system i’m using because i’m not using a MacPro. Having said that i am using a top spec macbook Pro with 3GB of RAM and FCS 2 so i can’t imagine that it would be that!

when the project was finished i exported the sequence as a quicktime using current settings. then re-imported to a new project to master, as this method has aways helped with dropped frames when mastering in DVCAM. It also saves about 6 hours of the ‘conform HDV footage’ when starting the print to video. would this have an effect?
