FCP with XDCAM HD
I have been working with footage from the XDCAM HD for the past few months but so far have been unable to use the XDCAM HD 35mbps 25p sequence preset. I can only get the footage to work on a sequence using the HDV sequence preset. I have a big project coming up where i need to get the most out of the HD footage and want to make sure that FCP is set to its optimum. Any ideas?

Which version of FCP? Because 35MB/s support was added with version 5.1.2.

that would suggest you are only shooting in SP mode and consequently only the HDV preset will work.
you need to shoot in HQ 25p if you want the XDCAM HD 35mbps 25p sequence preset to work. -
