sorry for the new thread. thanks for the help. ok, im exporting dv footage from a dv timeline for use on other systems, pc or mac. what is the best quality and most universal way to export. Why does my footage look good in my canvas window and interlaced in my viewer. thanks

I am trying to create an avi or dv file from final cut. the only options i found to export in those formats that I have are quicktime conversion and compressor and they both gave the same result

When I export using quick time conversion the interlacing becomes very noticeable compared to the un exported version. Thanks for the help
