It should work. I haven’t tested it though. The Decklink settings in the System Preferences says it’s outputting to SDI and HDMI.
The reason I haven’t tested HDMI is simply that there’s no available slots left in the Mac Pro to hook up the HDMI slot. I could probably use the on-board HDMI ports, but then I’d have to leave the side door open.

My understanding is that they are working on MC Color, but no information about when yet. It’s such a sexy panel compared to Wave… 😉

I think it’s absolutely wonderful, and see no reason to get UltraScope unless it’s possible to utilize the existing hardware I have in the second Mac Pro. Needless to buy completely new hardware just for scopes if I can use software and the existing hardware, the old Decklink HD Extreme..

I have downloaded the trial. Scopebox is wonderful. Very responsive and live updates compared to the built-in scopes and waveforms in Resolve.

I have the basic model – it was all I could find on the market late august..
Mac Pro 2009, 8-core 2.26GHz, 6GB RAM, GT120+GTX 285, HD Extreme 3D and 4TB RAID0 through eSATA. -
I have a Mac Pro 2009, half-res won’t play real-time. It can go maybe 20fps, but not 25, 30, 50.. Going down to quarter res works fine. And to my surprise, it doesn’t look too ugly. Then I can get any framerate in real-time.
And that’s only on a four-disk RAID0 setup…

The editor couldn’t export EDL nor AAF from the trial of Avid, so I got those only from Premiere. The problem was that he had shortened down three clips and exported as new clips, thus not giving them any time code. So when I imported the EDL and AAF, DaVinci was confused about what clip should be where.
It’s an easy fix. Conflicting clips (mentioned in another thread I made) can be Resolved by choosing the correct clip from a list.
The test did was not a success as I had hoped. But it’s a given that the media files should have proper timecode !

I’ve been using my ShuttlePRO2 during the entire beta period and will for sure keep it going when I some day get a panel in place.

I’m in contact with a guy who’s got Avid and Premiere. We’re going to make a test for AAF and EDL from both apps. At least he said he can make AAF and EDL from both.
