I read the resolve on OSX support the 2nd monitor for waveform and histogram …is it true?
    Does affect performance ?
Is ultrascope recommended or the waveform in resolve is considered enough?
    Thanks

The built in waveform does work however is not quite real time. I am building a little pc with the ultra scope for external real time sdi throughput.

Plus 1 on the Ultrascopes. I recently sold a set of Omniteks as they were just overkill and I’ve been very happy with the Ultrascope. I did the turnkey solution from B&H for about $1500

I can’t wait until even logging is in place and maybe even an I bar for the vectorscope!!

Is logging going to be a normal software update?

    Does anyone use Scopebox? https://www.divergentmedia.com/scopebox
I have an old G5 with a BM HD card and thinking of using it as the main Vector/waveform monitor, just want to know if it worth the money.

I have downloaded the trial. Scopebox is wonderful. Very responsive and live updates compared to the built-in scopes and waveforms in Resolve.

Dunno. They were in beta at IBC showing this. Seemed to work well. Can’t remember about the I bar though

So has Scopebox been working solid? I’ve only done limited tests.

I think it’s absolutely wonderful, and see no reason to get UltraScope unless it’s possible to utilize the existing hardware I have in the second Mac Pro. Needless to buy completely new hardware just for scopes if I can use software and the existing hardware, the old Decklink HD Extreme..

I have been using Scopebox on a G5 Dual 2ghz for scopes on my Cintel Y-Front Telecine / DaVinci 888 DUI for years it has been great and very solid.

Those using Scopebox, as there is no signal loop from Scopebox, and I’m not sure these capture cards are duplex capable, how are you monitoring to the other machine, from SDI out from the screen or from the second output of the Decklink? I was wondering what you do in cases where you’re in a dual link situation.. I’m a Blackmagic virgin, coming from AJA…
