I do that. I put out diagnostic messages in certain situations(branches) that should not happen. In fact in the compiler I call the procedure “Bug” which does nothing other than raise an internal error which aborts the current action.

You might try posting your issue in the Sony forums. There are a couple of Sony types, one developer and one QA, who troll that forum and maybe you can get them to bite. Don’t get your hopes up.

Vegas is blending two frames from the source to create the extra frames you wanted in your result. Going from 25 to 50fps Vegas has to create twice as many frames of video as the source. The frame blending algorithm in Vegas is not the best out there.
You can disable resampling in the event properties. If you do this Vegas will not blend two frames to create another it will just duplicate an existing frame. The blurring will not happen, but there will not be any additional information in the video.
Why not just render at the same frame rate as your source video? 25fps in this instance.

That question is non specific about what the LUT is being used for.
I’ll assume you are talking about the color LUT that exist inside of video cards. The LUT in video cards translates an input color to an output color. In a null table a value if 128 coming in, is output as 128. Unchanged.
Calibration software modifies the video card LUT table when you calibrate your monitor.

So the best would be to keep the rendering setting in DVDA the same 25Mbps ?”You do not want DVDA to render anything you give it for best results. If you give DVDA compliant video and audio streams and everything can fit then DVDA should just burn your files straight to disc.
Consult the DVDA help some (search recompress in the help index), but look at the Optimize Disc dialog. Make sure DVDA does not think the video or audio files needs to be recompressed. If they do not fit, then whatever DVDA thinks needs to be done to get them to fit, simply use those bitrates in Vegas versus letting DVDA recompress.
The fewer times you re-encode your video the higher your final quality will be. To save some time, there are online bitrate calculators you can consult if you think your video might be too big.

Re-rendering to a higher bitrate in DVDA will do no good. You already lose quality with the initial lower bitrate render given to DVDA.
If you want a higher bitrate then customize the DVDA template in Vegas for a higher bitrate.
Also do not confuse total max bitrate and max video bitrate. Also do not confuse average bitrate with max bitrate. The 48Mbps you quote is not the max video bitrate. 40Mbps is the max video bitrate. Also Blu-ray has two levels and this affects encoding options with regards to slices. This only matter when you want to push bitrates higher.
The Mainconcept 25Mbps template is basically Blu-ray Max. Sony AVC only supports level 4.0 and if you edit that template you will still be a little lower than the MC AVC template
Also depending on what your camera sources are, these higher bitrate AVC encodes may not improve video quality.

Do you have any idea? It sounds like a still image. Not many video formats support Alpha and there can be some issues there. I have heard that DNxHD from Avid which has the Alpha backwards of what most other programs use.

You are probably using Titles and Text. This is a known bug that some fonts are not visible, or even do not work.
For me the missing fonts are Adobe Opentype fonts.
Legacy text, Protype and NewBlue Titler Pro do not have the problem.

DSLRs shoot AVC video, typically in MOV files, at pretty high bitrates. Vegas handles this natively without the need for Quicktime.
Really rendering has everything to do with your target and nothing to do with your source.
If you target Internet (youtube, vimeo, smugmug) then those are your constraints. These will never be near your source video quality due to their low bitrate. For internet delivery you typically can start with the Sony and Mainconcept AVC “Internet” templates.
The only thing that really matter with source is if you want to retain full camera quality for giving to someone else, or import into another project. For a DSLR stick with the same codec, AVC, at the same bitrate as your camera. Mediainfo can give you these specifications of the camera file.
