Well, ideally both. I don’t imagine theatrical distribution. but i envision it playing at festivals. i will definitely be trying however to get it on TV, something like PBS in my dreams.

So, I only edit off my 17″ MBP. I have 8GB of RAM and I use FCP7. And it works fast. But I’ve just started looking into SSD and I’m wondering what people think about it? Reading online, it seems the main advantage is in compressing but that FCP will not work noticeably faster. Am I wrong here? Anyone want to give me some advice?

The lighting gear I want is going to be used mostly for lighting interviews for documentary film when I’m in a pinch. That being the case, I think what I want to do is get two LED lights, something like the Switronix 200w or a Vidpro, to go along with the Comer 1800 I have. I feel like this gives me a chance to have something portable that can give me some lighting options for dark interviews.

Thoughts on this?

I guess it would be great to use them together, using the Canon for closeups and details and the HMC150 for larger, more establishing shots. that logic make sense?

This thread was good….but I want to know if there is any keystroke I can do to break apart an audio or visual track? (More to the point, I’d like what the original quesion was, which is a keystroke for just inserting one or the other, but, baring that, a keystroke to disconnect the destination marker from the track will do….)

I looked at it seems there is no option for that. Anyone want to prove me wrong here? I hope so! It would be super convenient.
