Definitely a way better format the DV- you get the increased color fidelity as well as half the amount of Compression per frame. For my money DVCPRO50 is the ideal mixture of quality vs. cost vs. file size. It’s the best standard definition can be and not be shooting uncompressed nor be super expensive Digibeta.

yes- simplest method would be to create a camera in that view and set as the active camera for rendering.

I’d suggest a dual head graphics card with a second cinema display for your client that mirrors your desktop. That way they can see exactly what your doing without being over your shoulder.

What system are you on? If this a DVD-R all you need do is drag from the DVD onto your desktop and burn onto another DVD-R with Toast or the like on a PC. DVD ripping programs are only needed for copy-protected i.e. replicated DVDs.
