Is there any way to render out to a file the view that I see in the Editor when I select View 4? I always see View 1 when I Render to Picture Viewer… Would it help to add a camera to the scene? Any suggestions?
    Thanks much.

yes- simplest method would be to create a camera in that view and set as the active camera for rendering.

Select View 4 or any other View –
go to Edit/Use as Render View.

Okay, View 4 is the current view, but there is no Use as Render View option in the Edit menu in 9.1 at least…

Well that’s where I am hung up – I am in View 4 and have just inserted a camera into the scene and selected the camera in the Cameras/Scene Camera dialog. But how do I set the camera as the active camera for rendering? With my current setting, I still see View when I render to the picture viewer.
    Thanks,
    D.

Okay, sorry – it’s the OTHER Edit menu (on the editor)
    I got it.
    thanks again.
