I am wondering what is the best dual monitor setup to get for under 600 dollars. I have a g5 dual 2.0 mac. For example would 2 17 inch viewsonic be fine to use. I just want something with good colors for working in photoshop, illustrator, After Effects, Final Cut, and motion . I know for video output you need a NTSC monitor for accurate colors, but I want to know what would be the best dual monitor to use. I cannot afford 2 apple displays right now. I am kind of going towards 2 17′ inch flat panel dell monitors. Thanks!

Depends on the video card too. More pixels means the video card needs more VRAM, and multiple monitors means multiple connectors.

Consider dual 19″ or a 19″ and 17″ if your video card is capable.

If the output is VGA, get a CRT monitor. VGA doesn’t look very good going into a digital display like an LCD.
