Google for it- there’s quite a few systems that allow you to bolt various other types of lenses with varying degrees of success. Truth be told Sony CRTs are the standard in production monitoring, Panny also makes a pretty sweet LCD monitor at 7″ if you want something more portable.

That’s up to you. You could go D5 or HDCAM as the most common again. But again there’s no reason to if you don’t even know where you’re playing it.

Many… do you have the stats on that? How disappointed can most people be with for a $299 app that occasionally does the same thing a million dollar Inferno can do? But then again when you buy Coke do you actually expect the world will actually sing with you? When you buy a Jeep do you expect to drive it up a mountain? When you use Selsum Blue does one side really tingle? When you get an HP printer do you expect to get instant prints floating in thin air?
Might want to ring up David Horowitz or Ralph Nader. Or take a customer survey poll or something. Because to be honest most folks I talk to are amazed with Motion. But once again, YMMV(that’s your mileage may vary for the folks at home).

Totally depends on the type of comp, preview settings and system specs. Truth is YMMV but that is probably not too sexy sounding for advertising.

It’s not going to improve the quality at all, only make the existing quality playable on HD tape. Rate sounds ok but it fully depends on how they are doing the upconvert and on what equipment.

Use File>Import P2 from within FCP. You must be on FCP 5.

Semi ancient deck- you could run into support issues with it. Don’t think it has FW for example.

They should be fine on the carry-on baggage. The checked bagged scanners kill film but I haven’t heard of them doing the same to hard drives. Still I’d carryon.

Toast does it’s own encoding. You need DVD Studio Pro.
