With respect if you’re getting this camera with the intention of shooting with autofocus on you’re probably buying way too much camera for your needs.

did you bring a production monitor with you? That’s the only way to truly judge focus. If you did and it’s still not sharp your lens could be out of colimation. If not and you were shooting indoors it was not fully in focus when you shot.

Use the 24p A preset and then click the Anamorphic checkbox in capture and playback.

Honestly I you’ll find that very difficult to pull off in C4d practically. Instead I’d suggest looking at the source audio or video in your editing program and writing down timecode or frame numbers where you want actions to occur.
