Thanks. I’ll give it another try tomorrow morning.

Sorry, forgot that part… Using Aja driver 6.0.1, capturing to ProRes422.

I have, but I am not sure what the “proper settings” are?
They are 625i25, just as my other settings. And the format iself seems to be correct, since my preview CRT displays the video just fine.
Any further ideas? I do not have the Io HD present, but I did look at the HDMI settings. There was not much that could be altered really? Just 2 or 8 channel audio output and RGB or component mode. No luck so far.

If you can point me to any, I’d be glad!
Not sure what you mean with a P2 drive? If you mean I should connect a disk directly to the HPX500 over FireWire, I still believe the transfer speed would be faster if you plug the P2 card into a card reader over PCIe. I need the speed. 🙂

And even on Tiger P2formatter does not recognize the P2 cards when they are mounting from the 500 over FireWire. And I can’t rename the cards using Finder, either…. :-/

Via FireWire from the 500 to my G4 Dual or iBook G4.
Tried USB, but with no luck.

Strange. Panasonic write this:
P2 Driver Software for Mac
Notice
When using Mac OS X Leopard
Not support write and delete of contents data to P2 card now.as of 2008.1.29
But perhaps I’m misunderstanding something here?

Thank God I still have our main editing Mac running Tiger, since the P2Formatter does not support write under Leopard.
(Now I only have to collect the strength to format the cards – we’ve done our first shoot and the content is offloaded onto two disks with HD Log and also brought into FCP. Works like a charm.)
But when you are used to keep those Betas, it is not easy to erase the cards… oh, well. 🙂

August 25, 2008 at 7:44 pm in reply to: P2 content not recognized by FCP during Log and TransferActually, it looked like I offloaded one P2 card twice…
Obviously it’s not crystal clear to offload 3-4 P2 cards at the same time using HD Log. Now I mount one card at the time in the camera and offload to two different disks.
(and boy, does it takes time…) I use File Content verification and of course the cards a write protected before offloading.
Too bad I cannot use the internal numbering in MCR mode. Had to write down starting TC of all the clips I want to use and go from there in Log and Transfer later on.

Thanks for you info. Not quite helpful, since what I’ve done is to note the cameras internal clip number, which gets lost in both HD Log and P2CMS, since each card starts with clip number 1, and so on.
Guess I have to add some meta info using the camera, to mark the clips I want to use, since I loose reference when not using MCR mode on the camera.I really need to find out a way to mark clips on field that can be referenced to when connecting the camera to a computer.
