a) I have done that, but I often encounter out of memory errors with 32 bit Vegas when rendering, so I switch to the 64 bit version just to render. Note that if you use some 3rd party plug-ins, they may not be available in 64 bit Vegas.
b) I am still on Vegas 10c because of OFX issues with 10e and 10e which are unique to my workflow. Vegas 11 has issues.

I regularly alternate between 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Vegas Pro 10 without any issues.

The current second generation Intel CPU’s have an onboard graphics engine that is quite schmick that nicely complements video editing.

Do any of your clients still have a CRT TV or a TV with tubes and valves? 😉

When I use the DVD-A template I always adjust the quality slider to 31 under Customise. I think it defaults to 17.

I have also observed not all fonts in the list translate to the timeline properly. Some do not change at all.
One font I like to use messes up on numbers (Splendid, I think).

July 5, 2012 at 1:08 pm in reply to: Remove verticle glare streaks from reflections from video shot with a pocket cameraHmmmm…sounds like CCD smear but I have only noticed it more at night than under bright lighting conditions. Shooting chrome is always going to be a challenge under bright sunlight. I don’t think it can be removed.

I agree with Jeff. Make sure you get the 128 GB memory card, although the LANC controller may be iffy to find. I use Libec ZC-3DV. Cheap but effective.
Jeff, did you have to do anything in the camera setup to get the blacks black? When compared to my Z1P, the blacks are a bit brown and washed out, and I always have to do a bit of tweaking with colour curves and brightness and contrast to get them to match.

I think I had that crappy Panasonic camcorder too that cropped 4:3 to get “16:9” 🙂

Be aware that Sony changed their OFX implementation in 10e. Plugins that worked in 10c misbehaved for me in 10e. SVP11 is a real nightmare. I am stuck on 10c, but at least I get my jobs done.
