Sony Vegas 10.0d crashes when
Posted by Chandan Nataraj on July 2, 2012 at 1:33 pmHi there,
I’m using Sony Vegas 10.0d 64 bit on Windows 7. It hangs whenever I drag and drop any media to timeline (even default presets from Media Generators tab). I was wondering if any one has faced this issue before.

July 2, 2012 at 9:22 pmThe latest version of Vegas Pro 10 is 10e. Maybe updating your Vegas to 10e solves your problem.

July 3, 2012 at 10:28 amHi Theo,
Thanks for your reply. I’ll try that.
I used 10.0d couple of months ago on the same machine and it worked perfectly fine then. I suspect that some other software update is causing the issue.

July 3, 2012 at 12:02 pmBe aware that Sony changed their OFX implementation in 10e. Plugins that worked in 10c misbehaved for me in 10e. SVP11 is a real nightmare. I am stuck on 10c, but at least I get my jobs done.
My system specs: Intel i7 970, 12GB RAM, ASUS P6T, Vegas Pro 10e (x32/x64), Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, Vegas Production Assistant 1.0, VASST Ultimate S Pro 4.1, Neat Video Pro 2.6

July 5, 2012 at 5:27 pmHi,
Thank you all for your suggestions. I installed SV11 trial and it is working fine. I’ll take another look at SV10 when I get some free time.
Thanks,
