    Really wiered workaround.

I just discovered that if you open the file in cinematools and conform the 25fps clip to 25fps, it will import correctly into fcp.

    Thanks for the info!
    I will be delivering 25p

Would i be right in assuming if i am shooting a music video, and accellerate the playback x 2.4 times, so that the singer sings at 2.4 times the original track speed, when the 60p is converted to 25p, it should sync up with the standard speed track.

Also, i edited some varicam footage the other day nativeley, and used panasonics ‘frame rate converter’ to turn the 60p into 23.98. How would i convert the 8 bit 60p into 25fps without re rendering, as the panasonic plugin for final cut pro only works with DVCPRO HD.

Thanks in advance…. I am being very careful to not have and drama’s on the day of the shoot.

Actually, looks like they don’t do an AGP version… only a PCIE.

Walter, I offered 3 separate people over the last month $2000 dollars for their Dongles…. I am obviously pleased that i was turned down in retrospect but also really feel for the people who spent all that money. Looks like it will be a better product now anyway, and hasn’t lost any of its spectacular features.

Damn, I didn’t even know you could get an x1900 for the g5… didn’t realise they did an AGP version. I may try and track one down, although with ATI stopping manufacture a while ago, it doesn’t look like there will be stock for a while.

    Thanks

Thanks Walter, I really appreciate the reply. Well it looks like i may have to invest in a new machine, which is a shame, because it means new kona card and all the other bits.

Never Mind, It will definatly be worth it… So excited about Apple Color.

    Thanks, Nick

Hi I thought as much… Never Mind.

The reson i would like to is becuase i have 3 19″ lcd’s for editing. I use two for the various windows in Final Cut and one for cinema preview while editing. Becuase the 3 monitors are all the same height, i find this is a really nice way to work. However it would be nice to have the broadcast monitor, and or the 26″ HD lcd running symoultaniously for either color correction or playing back the edit without having to go into the prefs and change the settings there.

    Thanks anyway.

    Kind Regards, Nick
