January 27, 2008 at 1:49 am in reply to: Editing a clip in AE from PPRO CS3 timeline?i put the 1 clip into its own folder and then again tried importing the sequence that contains the 5 second clip, and again it just started importing the entire thing….which contains about 4 hours of footage. So I went the other root and just found the mt2 and brought that into AE manually then follwed the steps after that. Not sure why it disobeys me when I selected the proper sequence. Where do you import your sequences so I know i`m doing it right.

not sure yet to be honest, waiting fo rthe software to arrive. On the PC its m2t, but i`ll be editing on a mac this time. I guess however it captures HDV from a canon camera

luckily I tried something and was shocked that it worked. I simply highlighted the section of clips I needed, hit copy, closed the project without saving, opened the other project I needed it inserted into, and when I hit paste it auto-imported every clip needed and placed them as they were in the first project. Whew. Still need to go back and delete all the peak/conformed files it made in the time I fought with it, but now I know for future reference 🙂

thanks…i can now slide it around etc, is there a way to click and set the anchor point? I think in AE its like ALT+click

ok yea I thought about it more of what i`m doing and i want to have it slowly reanimate…I`m using AE 7… and I remember in 6.0 there was a remapping graph and what not…so I`m lost as to how to make it slowly start up to full speed over let say 2 seconds gradually. I tried playing with the ease options, but i`m not used to determining time by the frame number movement. So confused.

i tried using the freeze frame, but then I don`t get the option to unpause the footage and I can`t drop down the time remap options

March 29, 2007 at 8:53 pm in reply to: How to make PPRO 2.0 rename files to new source name😮 you bring tears of joy to my dark little world. As odd as it may be, I neevr knew of the project manager or what it did….I was fdoing everything manually *cry* This is a blessing. One question, if i make a trimmed project does it duplicate the footage file only saving the used areas? Or does it just reference the in and out points of the same longer clip?

The camera I`m using right now has 60i…thats what you mean right? Does the tutorial walk through the ways of capturing, deinterlacing, and such to get good results? I read an article here saying to go through the tutorials and manual but i haven`t had the chance yet.
