Ok so I have this massive project that has been archived. I deleted all of the conformed files to save space. Unfortunately I need about a 15 second audio clip out of it, so I unzipped everything and opened the project. Premiere wants to conform everything again though I can watch it, play it, and here it ALL, I can`t export audio until it conforms everything. Is there any way to stop it from conforming the whole project? And just render what I need ?

What if you find the portion of your sequence you need, copy that to a new sequence, save the project as a new title, delete the unneeded full sequences, do a project manager to make a smaller version of teh project keeping only the used media, then open the new compact project, which should only need to conform the used media in your short sequence.

    That’s what I would try.

luckily I tried something and was shocked that it worked. I simply highlighted the section of clips I needed, hit copy, closed the project without saving, opened the other project I needed it inserted into, and when I hit paste it auto-imported every clip needed and placed them as they were in the first project. Whew. Still need to go back and delete all the peak/conformed files it made in the time I fought with it, but now I know for future reference 🙂
