Frame hold?
Posted by Nathan Quattrini on April 6, 2007 at 3:35 pmIs there an easy way to hold on a frame like in Premiere? Or do I need to add time remapping to the file and set the speed to 0?

April 6, 2007 at 3:40 pmi tried using the freeze frame, but then I don`t get the option to unpause the footage and I can`t drop down the time remap options

April 6, 2007 at 4:06 pmok yea I thought about it more of what i`m doing and i want to have it slowly reanimate…I`m using AE 7… and I remember in 6.0 there was a remapping graph and what not…so I`m lost as to how to make it slowly start up to full speed over let say 2 seconds gradually. I tried playing with the ease options, but i`m not used to determining time by the frame number movement. So confused.

Sure there is… there’s a speed graph for any property that can be animated over time. For buijon: you click the button that looks like a graph just to the left and above the timeline. Then it shows the graph editor for any properties you select in the timeline, it defaults to selecting the type of graph for you (value or speed) but you can change this with the options that appear at the bottom of the graph.

Sure, it can be an annoying effect (especially with audio involved), but also very stylistic and effective if it’s your goal. If you don’t think something is worth doing, that doesn’t mean it can’t be done =)
