Sounds like you have it pretty well under control. If you want realistic water go to The Anvel. These project files should be useful.

What exactly are you having trouble with? Seems fairly straight-forward to me, but if you have no idea how to go about it I suggest finding some basic training for After Effects. Here are some steps to get you started:
First find some images online to help you know what it really looks like
Create a circular mask on a black solid (add feather if you want)
Create crosshairs by adding the grid effect and increasing the width and height until you have two lines intersecting
    Put footage below this layer

    This tutorial might be helpful:
    Blow Text Like Sand
Also try searching the forum for posts about this. It seems to be a fairly popular effect.

  • Look for a text animation preset (under Animation). Couldn’t tell which one does this, but experiment and find out.

Yeah, I would think that, if anything, you would want to warp the footage the opposite way that the screen is warping it. But the way I’m picturing it, there will always be an angle from which the video is stretched funny. I’m not sure if there is a perfect solution here.

You do not need a plugin. I believe it’s under Effects-> Simulation-> Shatter.

No, I don’t think it will be that simple. If you wrap your video into a sphere it will stretch it all the way to the back side which won’t be seen from the front. I’d try a bulge or bezier warp. But the thing is, do you need your video to bulge if the screen is already bulging? Maybe what you need is just a circular mask.

P.S. There is a typo in the first line of the second paragraph-
“about an hour AN a half”
Just thought you’d want to know.

This is a huge improvement, but I’d say you still need to add easy-ease to your camera moves. They are too jerky. I also like the 3D webpage you have near the end. More of that would be nice- maybe even have some of the elements in the page at different points on the z-axis. Also a mouse arrow might add a touch of realism to it.

What about something like Motion Tile or any other tiler? You could have one circle/dot and repeat it over and over as many times as you like by adjusting the size of your tiles to be smaller than the screen.
