if(comp(“Comp 2”).layer(“Layer 3”).isVisible == true){90} else {100} should work better.

You can add a visibilty track in the timeline. If that doesn#t work for you, then you will manually have to keyframe the material channels. You can anaimtae the transparency, but because in CG even transparent objects can have specular highlights, you’d have to animate that, too.

Are you using flat projection? That should do the trick sufficiently. I suspect you are simply using the default UVW which doesn’t yield usable results due to the data structure of the DEM. Still, the texture will distort slightly even with planar projection as the pixels obviously will be stretched out along the Y axis on the sloped areas.

You need to render out all components separately, not just reflections. When you have diffuse, specular etc. each separate, you can control everything in compositing. The RGBA layer in that case wouzld only act as a reference for the final look.

If you are still experiencing problems, you may want to give the alternative Corner Pin in RevisionFX’ RE:Map collection. It’s a bit smarter and better to control. Just download the demo.

Not entirely sure, but are you certain you haven’t incidentally slipped it just a tiny bit beyond the actual mark or are working in a 29.97 comp whereas your footage is 30 fps and something with the interpretation might not work out? In that case AE would sample the wrong field. I can’t really provide any further solution to this.

What do you mean? AE by itself is basically multi-threaded, however certain functions and effects plugins aren’t, so you will never see your machine at full throttle, regardless of how much processors or cores you have. Maybe some day Adobe can sort this out, but for the time being you can buy as powerful a machine as you like but it will never be completely used by AE itself.

[Dragi Vujacic] “I will try using both aplications but I am still afraid could it be to much for me to be in a flow? Perhaps not.”
I don’t think that this is a problem. I’m currently using C4D, modo, Lightwave, After Effects and sevaral other programs and though I sometimes wonder myself how I can manage it, it always works. The thing is, that no matter what functions a program boasts you will only be using a part of the feature set and it is important that you can keep that straight. I for instance absolutely do not care about any character animation related stuff that much ‘cos I barely ever need it, but on the other hand I constantly do particle animation, something which in turn a character artist might not give a damn about.

I agree with Charles. You definitely need more RAM. Even if you only use one program at a time, since it’s a multicore machine it will in many cases use multiple threads and when this is done in 3D programs and too little RAM becomes quite a limiting factor. 2 Gigs is really a minimum, if you can afford it, get 4.
