    Hi,

I am having a problem with fields. I have footage rendered from Max (tga seq) with lower fields, 30fps (NTSCD1). Import them into AE7 and create comp. Render out to final file format (AvidQT codec) and I get an interlacing problem with that layer. The tga sequence giving me the problem seems to work fine when the sequence starts at its 0 frame in the comp. But if I trim the layer so that at comp frame 0 the tgs seq in point is at frame 30, I get an interlacing problem. I don’t get it. I am not moving the layer position at all, so why should it matter where I trim the tgs sequence for it to start at frame 0 in the comp? Any one else have this problem? As I write this I did a test with the tga sequence in point at frame 0, starting at comp frame 0 and it works fine.

    Thanks in advance!

    Todd

Not entirely sure, but are you certain you haven’t incidentally slipped it just a tiny bit beyond the actual mark or are working in a 29.97 comp whereas your footage is 30 fps and something with the interpretation might not work out? In that case AE would sample the wrong field. I can’t really provide any further solution to this.
