    Hi all,
Ive imported a DEM of the island of hawaii into c4d r10. I need to drape the satellite image texture over it and have the alinement/ scale be perfect.
I created a new material and impoted the image as a texture in the color channel. Its looking really distorted and the texture tool and texture axis tool dont seem to be helping.
Does anyone know of any tutorials out there that deal with this???
I think the sizes are the same but im not sure how to check that within c4d.

Thanks in advance for any and all replys,
    Bruce

Are you using flat projection? That should do the trick sufficiently. I suspect you are simply using the default UVW which doesn’t yield usable results due to the data structure of the DEM. Still, the texture will distort slightly even with planar projection as the pixels obviously will be stretched out along the Y axis on the sloped areas.
