Layers ion AE do not have geometric edge antialiasing, the use simple filtering across the entire layer. Therefore you cannot have perfectly sharp edges, they will always be soft and introduce transparencies.

That’s a contradiction in terms. Either you mean flat images or 3D geometry. The effect you want to achieve is the latter and can be achieved with 3DLayer from Digital Anarchy (download the demo on their site)

Generally not. You need Invigorator to render 3D objects in AE. As to how well that works, I don’t know. Never used it. You can get camera motions into AE along with lights and locaters thru other ways, but usually that’s where the goodness ends.

There’s a pricey plugin called Fulldome (https://fulldomeplugin.multimeios.pt) that will give you any combination of panoramic effects. Other methods you could use include using plugins such as CC Sphere and CC Cylinder.

Well, it’s the only real morphing plugin for most compositing apps out there, so you have little choice in the matter if you want to stay inside your beloved AE. However, there are some free-and shareware programs that allow morphing with varying degrees of quality, control and speed. Also do not forget the Reshape effect in AE. It’s a bit tricky to understand at times, but works quite well on simple linear setups as I suspect your logos to be.

Yepp, new viewers are the way to go. If you open up multiple views in one viewer they are always linked. It’s not quite clear at first sight and a bit incoherent in terms of implementation. Maybe it’s changed in a future release.

No idea, but the commonly accepted solution is to re-install or update your graphics drivers…

Yeah, that’s a confirmed problem. The only way to deal with it is to not hide AE for the time being ;o).

No wonder. Why are you exporting sans fields from AE if you are working with fields in Express? Express Pro will simply double your frames to generate fields from them which of course gives stuttering movement.

Just my opinions and what I’d do:

Considering hardly any audio DVDs are on the market (SACD is much more prominent) perhaps not that useful, especially if you’re working with normal audio formats as used in a video context.

Mmh, yeah, perhaps if I used Audition… But then again I know enough professional audio editors who could do this more skillfully and with even better hard-/ software.
