  • Sounds like a field issue. Check your footage interpretation and make sure whoever created the slowmo in the editing suite was/ is aware of the importance of the right field settings as well.

Yes, it’s completely possible. Doing all those cutouts appears to be the larger part of the work (as is finding suitable photos in the first place). I don’t think that they used 3D-layers that much as it only complicates all the panning and moving around.

It should be “Gitter” or “Gitterlinien” in the “Erzeugen” category (or is it called “Generieren”?; sorry, haven’t used German AE in ages).

Try using the Align to Spline tag on a Null object and parent the camera to it. This should improve things. If that fails, use the structure manager to get your spline data and then use that data as position info in the Timeline/F-Curve editor.

If your lines are strictly b/w, the simple soution would be to just enable the “mix textures additively” option on the second material. You should also consider using a layer shader and a single material for the entire road.

You can’t render wireframes in high quality natively in C4D. You need to get a special shader or other tools like Sketch&Toon. My preferred method at the moment is to use Tessa from DiTools in Wire mode. Since it creates real geometry, it can be converted to a normal object and renders without flaws. I believe Paul Everett’s wireframe shader is available for free, but the site hosting the files has closed down recently, so I don’t know where you can find it any longer.

Depends largely on the shape of the cloud and how opaque it should be. In most situations simple sphere particles withe a blur on top should do.

Another idea would be to use Particle Playgroud set to layer exploder. If you apply other effects such as Alpha Bevel afer the PP, it can create quite a few interesting looks.

If you mean the God’s Eye animation, then it looks like it is simply multiple clones of the same footage layer statically arranged in a spiral pattern and then this pattern is rotated in its entirety. All other motion comes from the footage itself (which is some splashing water).
