I have just bought AE7Pro and because i never like to do things the easy way around, I find the first task i need to use it for is rather a complicated one. Unfortunately, my experience of AE is very limited and its been a few years since i actually used it, and never with a particle effect before, so i’m hoping you good folks may be willing to point me in the right direction.

I have a shot that comprises a toy squirting a jet of water. We have animated a logo that squirts out of the toy onto the screen. I now want to use a particle system to create a deflection effect off the logo.

In essence – i want the logo to look as if its reacting with the jet of water and causing it to splash about.

I think the best way would be to keep the real squirt and just add deflection particles but i don’t know how to achieve this.

Please help – and please treat me like an AE novice.

    thanks

    Adam

Take a look at CC Mercury.

Another idea would be to use Particle Playgroud set to layer exploder. If you apply other effects such as Alpha Bevel afer the PP, it can create quite a few interesting looks.
