Thanks for the quick response. If I have a VTS.VOB file open in streamclip what is the best way to export it or should I just grab a still in Streamclip?

Excuse my ignorance, but is MPEG streamclip a setting or a program?

FCP wouldn’t recognize it as an importable file and it wouldn’t open in itunes. I dragged it into Peak Express and it opened perfectly. I exported it to FCP as a an itunes file. A little trial and error solved the problem.

Im not sure what you mean by bounce to disk under edit.

sounds identical to my issue. Basically same machine & software. I’m using an DVX-100 camera as a deck. I turned off everything went to bed next day it was fine. Two days later I’m trying to batch capture and i keep getting a box saying it can’t find time code.
Turned off everything did something else for a while came back and it was fine. Go figure
