I was told by a dealer that the HPX300 camera is pretty grainy in low light conditions!

It should be possible to copy your old Users folder to the new install.
This will keep your fonts, i-utilities content, mailbox etc…
When you make a fresh install of your apps, they will create new preference files…

An advantage for Avid Online is better color grading tools with curves, which I would love to have in FCP. Yes, Color is nice but we only use it for a few prestige projects.

sorry don’t know that program. But you might consider a Codec that does not strain the processor too much like photojpeg, or rendering smaller and scaling on output.

Motion has problems with projects over 2K, so you might consider AfterEffects. But you will also have a problem finding a codec that will play smoothly on such a large project. I would suggest splitting into 3 videos and using Qlab with multiple graphics cards, or Dataton Watchout with multiple computers.

just want to sahre my opinion about Watchout.

We are a Mac based video company and got Watchout while it was still Mac, and have stuck with it even though it is now PC only. Watchout is VERY stable, even on PC. We have made several fixed installations with Watchout that run EVERY DAY, and we use it for mission critical events.

Great new thing about version 4 is DMX in and out plus the ability to send TC/IP commands. We are currently using Barco presentationpros for live video overlay, and controlling them totally from within Watchout…

The mini flowchart cannot solve AE’s most serious problem – the constant scrolling and opening timeline values due to the layered approach. In programs like Shake, Fusion and Nuke you get the parameters you need to access just by clicking on a node.

One thing Adobe could do would be to allow us to drag timeline based controls (opacity, scale…) into the Effects Control dialog box, where the controls for filters can also be found. This would give us quick access to parameters we want to animate, just by clicking on the layer. And when you clicked the control they could make sure it popped open in the timeline layers…

I’m considering the vStor 2100. Can you confirm if it works with ProRes HQ in HD resolutions?
