I experienced something similar when upgrading projects to 10.1.1. At first I thought that the new FCPX was slower than what I had before. Then when I created a new project from scratch I saw more speed.

I never had time to experiment more, but I hope to get a handle on it at some point, since I continue to use old projects from time to time. I’d hate to think that I’d have to re-create all those projects just to get them running at optimum speed…

Exactly the same as a tracked mixer, it would adjust the level of the Role rather than the track, then it doesn’t matter where the clips are.”

I’ve just purchased an early 2013 i7 MBP with SSD boot drive and GT650 card for a mobile project and I’m shocked just how much faster it is in every respect than the Mac Pro, FCPX absolutely flies even using my RAID via USB 3 on an existing large project. “

Same here.. even the MacBook Air runs FCPX faster than the 8-core Mac Pro that was upgraded…
