I guy that does a lot of internet based campaigns was looking to buy 12 new laptops, but changed his mind when he realized they were still stuck at 16gb. I was planning on two more but sat it out for the same reason. We should be past 16gb at this point, and at those prices…

Okay, but is anyone actually using MacOS Sierra with FCP? I have several machines that qualify.

I also have an aging 2008 MacPro, but it has a modern video card and lots of RAM, so maybe it will accept it anyway?

I agree Andrew. I also agree with Tim… I don’t think there’s an upside to this anymore. It wouldn’t hurt Apple to communicate a little better and more often about where FCP X is going.

I don’t need to know what they’re doing with Safari, because my business isn’t built around it. FCP X is a different story…

I suppose that depends on whether you need to upgrade. Our 8-core, fully loaded nMP with a fast TB2 RAID hasn’t needed any upgrades.
