Try an older version of QT…uninstall the latest first.

I would suspect one of the following:
1.Exporting from the system drive (no scratch disks should be set to that drive)
2.Exporting from a drive over 75% full or badly defragmented
3. Virus/spyware scanner running in the background
4. Disk management system running (like Diskeeper) -
There does seem to be issues with CS4 after uninstalling CS3…so just leave well enough alone.

There is a Safe Margins button in the lower right corner of the Program window.

Alt click with the selection tool on the audio clip to select just it and then delete.

Your reply is vague… There is no Settings button in the Adobe Media Encoder work flow and Premiere CS3 cannot burn a DVD or an Mpeg 2 DVD.
1. What are the properties of your source video???
2. In What application are you getting this error message??
3. Are you having Premiere or Encore do the encoding?? If Encore, what are the Properties for the intermediate file you are giving to Encore?? -
Which version are you using? Are you exporting Mpeg 2 DVD from Premiere when the error occurs? What exactly does the error message say?

You dont say what your export is for? H264 is the only QT codec that is worth using for local playback or web.

It is likely your source video is an Mpeg variant. Trial versions lack Mpeg decoders/encoders due to licensing issues.
It is also likely your silent audio problem is Dolby and Premiere wont play that.

Scale to fit frame size is a Preference (Edit> Preferences>General}…must be done prior to importing.
