In the Project Window is a column called “Usage”. It will tell you that info.

Check Windows recording properties and make sure the Mic input is selected.
I forget to turn on the mic and/or forgot to turn it off last time. -
The Main Concept Mpeg Pro HD plug-in for Premiere CS3 has a feature called “smart render” were it will not recompress unaltered mpeg content…about $500.
VideoRedo Plus can also do chop edits and export unrecompressed footage..less than $100

Try your existing settings that you used in Xilisoft Video Converter. -
Copy the VOB files back to your hard drive, rename as .mpg and import into Premiere…expect problems.

It is encoding, but some kinda bug prevents the progress bar from displaying for about 15 minutes. Check Task Manager to confirm the encoder is “working”.

Why?
The Adobe Media Encoder can convert your sequence to .wmv or H264 without the extra Lagarith step. -

They dont NEED to be rendered at all except for a RT preview. Preview files are for preview only.

Use the Track Select tool modified with the Shift key or simply lasso all the clips you want to move and drag them.
