    Voice over doe’nt work in CS3

    For an unknowned reason, the voice over which was working perfectly until now doesnt work anymore. When I start the recording the CTL starts progrssing as usual but when I stop no audio clip becomes visible alongside the timeline; neither on the audio track activated for record nor on any other audio track. Has someone experienced a similar problem and help find a soution. Thanks.

    Check Windows recording properties and make sure the Mic input is selected.
    I forget to turn on the mic and/or forgot to turn it off last time.

    After I had checked the settings mentionned by Mike and Eddie, it turned out that in my Edit/Preferences/Audio hardware/ASIO settings/DirectSound Input Ports, the item Realtek HD Audio Input was not checked also this item corresponds to my microphone. Now that I have checked it the voice over works well. Many thanks.
